The so-called app drawer is one of the key differences between Android and iOS. On an iPhone all the icons for apps are on the homescreen, while with Android you can choose to display only your favorite apps on your homescreen. The rest of all your apps will alphabetically appear in your app drawer.
Although almost all manufacturers make changes to Android, they generally retain the app drawer. One of the bigger manufacturers didn’t: Huawei. But, Huawei finally seems to realize that many consumers like to have an app drawer. With the release of EmotionUI 5.0, the latest version of Huawei’s Android interface, you can finally bring back the app drawer to life. For now EMUI 5.0 is only available on the Huawei Mate 9, but will be available in the future on all new Huawei smartphones.
