OnePlus announced at their forum that it will start today with the OTA update OxygenOS 4.1.0 for the OnePlus 3 and the OnePlus 3T. This update is based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat and contains the usual bugfixes also novelties such as extra long screenshots.
Next to Android 7.1.1, version 4.1.0 features also the latest Android security update of March and there have been improved many things including the improvement of taking photos and videos at a number of areas, as well as WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity are improved.
Android 7.1.1 Nougat is a relatively minor update compared to the Android 7.0 Nougat update. In the newer version, developers can add additional shortcuts to their app icons and it is possible to add gifs and other images directly from the keyboard into messages.
The new OxygenOS 4.1.0 for OnePlus OnePlus 3 and 3T will automatically be pushed to the smartphone by OTA from and can be installed directly. However, it may take some time before the update also arrives at your phone, OnePlus pushed the update today to a small number of user while the next few days the update will be rolled out more widely.
