Good news for the owners of the Huawei Honor 8. Although the original roll out of the Android 7.0 Nougat update is planned for February 2017, it seems like Huawei has already started today with their roll out.

According to Huawei Japan, the roll out of the Nougat update will start today and Japanese Honor 8 owners will be the first in line to receive the update. The update carries the version number of FRD L02C635B360 and has a size of 1.97GB. The update brings next to Nougat also EMUI 5 which enables extra features such as a dual-window mode and an App Drawer which can be manually activated.

It’s not known yet when the rest of the world can benefit from the Nougat update, but it is expected that the rest will follow in February as planned.
