Got an exploding Samsung Note 7? Well here is your replacement! Xiaomi has shared the official specifications of the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 and stunning is the word we are looking for.
The device would be officially unveiled on October 25 in China and, considering the ambition of the company, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 would likely be sold internationally which is also confirmed due to the announcement of a Global Edition of the Mi Note 2 which has 37 supported frequency bands, including 4G LTE on US mobile carriers.
When looking at the specifications the Mi Note 7 will feature a 5.7-inch LG Yingcun curved, flexible AMOLED display with 2K resolution. The display is said to provide high contrast pictures with better performance, wide color gamut, high color production and a minimal power consumption. The display will also have Gorilla glass while the back is made from ceramic.
On the inside we can find a 2.35GHz Snapdragon 821 chipset and in RAM there will be 2 versions: a 4GB RAM version and a 6GB RAM version. The internal storage also comes in two options, one with 64GB and another with a massive 128GB.
For the photos the Mi Note 2 will feature a dual camera set-up with a 23MP Sony IMX318 main sensor at the rear along side a 12 Megapixel Sony IMX378 secondary sensor and the frontcam will be an 8 Megapixel camera. The rear camera lenses are protected with sapphire glass while the camera also has features a four-axis optical image stabilization technology.
Some other high-end features are the underglass ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, NFC and an iris scanner. The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will have a 4100mAh battery with Qualcomm’s quick charge technology Quick Charge 3.0 and support USB Type-C.
Surprisingly, the device is not as expensive as we expect with this kind of specifications, the base model will be 2799 Yuan ($415) with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage while the high-end version with 6GB RAM + 128GB storage starts at 2999 Yuan ($445) which means it can be a good alternative for the Samsung Note 7.
