As the latest rugged outdoor device from Ulefone, the Armor 2 features IP68 certification to withstand water, dust and sand. On top of that, the Armor 2 also has more features that’s not so common with the average phones.
For instance, the Ulefone declares that Armor 2 should easily survive some extreme temperatures ranging from -400C to 800C. And today we have for you a video to prove that.
As shown in the video, the Armor 2 was first frozen into a big ice block inside a glass container filled with water. Then the frozen Armor 2 was put into a pan. Heating the pan until the water was boiling, the Armor 2 was taken from the pan. Guess what? The tester made a call with the Armor 2 which worked pretty well as if nothing had ever happened. Given that the housing of the Armor 2 is made of flexible TPU, with some parts in glass fiber reinforced polycarbonate material and metal, the temperature test seems quite easy peasy.
Aside from that, unlike average rugged devices, the Armor features some promising specs including powerful Helio P25 processor clocked at 2.6Ghz, 6GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, 4700mAh battery with 9V/2A PE+2.0 fast charge supported, 16MP rear +13MP front waterproof cameras, 5.0-inch FHD display with an impressive PPI of 441, extensive frequency bands with 27 frequency bands under 6 network types, front-facing fingerprint scanner and Android 7.0 as the OS. There are also 6 physical buttons on the edges, respectively power on/off button, volume +/- button, PTT button, shutter button, and SOS button.
