The Nokia 6 is expected to be released in the first half of 2017 in China at a cost of 1699 yuan (around $245). In specifications it’s a bit of a bummer for the amount of money you pay for it. The Nokia 6 is made from a 6000 series aluminum block with 2.5D Gorilla Glass. The screen measures 5.5 inches and has a Full HD resolution. The chipset is a mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage memory.
HMD has chosen the latest version of Android, currently Nougat, for the Nokia 6, unfortunately HMD provides no further details about the update program. We do not know yet whether it gives OTA update guarantees, or not.
On the inside there is a double amplifier which constitutes up to 6 decibels louder sound than normal and the device also supports Dolby Atmos. The Nokia 6 features also a 16 megapixel camera where HMD promises autofocus, thanks phase detection and a fairly light-sensitive f/2.0 aperture.
HMD Global acquired at the end of 2016 the rights of the brandname Nokia and Nokia 6 is only the first of many, as the company promises.
