Huawei has announced its latest handset in the Honor productline, The Honor Magic if officially announced and is already available for pre-order in China for around $530, this makes it the most expensive Honor branded smartphone at the moment. The reason that the Honor Magic is that expensive is because it is using some great new concept features and design. The bad thing, it seems to be a China-market only device….
In specifications, the phone comes with a 5.09-inch AMOLED display with a 2560 x 1440 pixel resolution and the display has curved glass on all sides. On the inside the Huawei Magic is powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 950 chipset which has an octa-core processor and is paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The phone gets its juice from a 2900mAh battery which supports quick charging thanks to Huawei Magic Power charger. The Huawei Magic runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS with ‘Honor Magic Live OS’ UI on top of it. The phone comes in two colors namely Golden Black and Porcelain White, weighs 145 g and measures 7.8mm thick.
For your precious moments, the Honor Magic sports a dual 12 megapixel camera setup on the rear side with an f/2.2 aperture along with a 8 megapixel front-facing camera with an f/2.0 aperture.
So what’s so special about the Huawei Magic? Apart from the curved display and dual camera setup is it uses a digital assistant called DeepThink that collaborates with FaceCode. This uses the IR port on the camera to recognise your eyes to ensure that only you or people you trust can see your notifications.
