After the success stories of the “value for your money” devices Huawei Honor 7 and Huawei Honor 8, the company has announced today their latest model: the Huawei Honor 9. And for it’s pricetag (which we will share later in the article), we just can say WOW.
The Huawei Honor 9 features a 5.15 inch 1080p display including DCI-P3 color space. A technique we have also seen on the iPhone 7 and Galaxy S8. On the inside there is a 2.4GHz octa-core Kirin 960 chipset together with 6GB of RAM. For storage you can choose between two variations: 64GB or 128GB. A 3200mAh battery with fast charging support helps you through to day.
One of the highlights is the dual camera setup on the back. The setup is a combination of 12 megapixel and 20 megapixel camera with 2x optical zoom, portrait and bokeh mode. On the front there is a 8 megapixel camera for your selfies.
Furthermore the Huawei Honor 9 features 4G VoLTE support, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n ac, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and Huawei Pay service compatibility. As operating system it runs on Android 7.0 with EMUI 5.1 on top.
And now the best part, this WOW device will be priced at 2299 yuan ($ 338) for the 6GB RAM+64GB ROM version and the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage version will cost around 2999 yuan ($441). The European version of the Huawei Honor 9 is expected to be announced on June 27th.
