Android 7.0 now available for OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T!

OnePlus promised an update for Oxygen OS based on Android 7.0 Nougat before the end of 2016 for OnePlus 3 owners and it seems like they made it. According to a tweet by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei on December 31st, the OTA Oxygen upgrade to Android 7.0 Nougat is on the roll for the OnePlus 3 and the OnePlus 3T. OnePlus itself has made also several changes and improvements to Oxygen OS 4.0 Nougat. This allows the user more control and options on the interface of the Oxygen OS.

While rolling out the update to Oxygen OS 4.0 (N) was started officially on New Year’s Eve, it will take several days to weeks for all users of the OnePlus OnePlus 3 and 3T to receive the update. Users of both devices can manually check in the settings menu for updates. The devices also give itself a notification when an update for the devices is ready.

The OnePlus 2 is also expected to receive an update to Android 7 Nougat as well, but a releasemoment has not been announced yet. OnePlus also announced that the Open Beta program from the OnePlus 3T is live and available on the forums for volunteers to download.
