After the grand success of Explorer series action cameras, MGCOOL is gearing up to launch a new camera with trending features. The upcoming camera will be powered by a powerful Sunplus V50 processor, which will help you to finish the tasks easily with low heat. The highlight of the camera will be the ability to capture 4K videos at 30fps. Furthermore, the Explorer 3 will adopt a new video coding standard and is able to offer its users with better experience by reducing file size with original quality being remained.
The camera is said to ship with a 2-inch display coupled with Panasonic 34112 sensor. Powered on Sunplus V50, there is no doubt that Explorer 3 will be capable of recording smooth ultra HD videos and fine photos. Unlike the previous Explorer series, the new camera will provide support for up to 128GB storage using microSD card.
Although there is not much news to share, we can confirm that the new camera will provide support for EIS and Gyroscope.
This new camera will be small in size but MGCOOL has added support for EIS and Gyroscope, which are not available with competing cameras. You will be unable to notice any blur. Moreover, the MGCOOL Explorer 3 has additional features to enable the camera to snap bright and crisp images even if you shake the camera little bit aggressively.
It is said that MGCOOL has adopted a new video coding standard that specifies how to decode video, which is the successor to Advanced Video Coding (AVC), also known as H.264. The captured video will be automatically encoded to meet the relevant compatible formats. And a video file encoded with this new coding standard can occupy half the storage space of its H.264 equivalent with no noticeable change in quality.
